Dusky the druid, looking for a forever home

What is your main character's name?
Duskwalker

Who are you? Your Real life name, your age, your hobbies, work, you name it! The more we know you, the better!
My name is Trude Westby, 37. Happily married, no kids, a cat and a dog. I work as an academic librarian at the University of Oslo, at the natural sciences library, and tend to geek out a lot over various themes. I have always loved games, from pen and paper RPGs and boardgames to the digital ones - and the social games starting with MUDs in the 90's. I get any aggression issues sorted twice a week on the squash court and keep my happy levels up by walking in the woods with my dog.

In game, I like to log on, have a chat, potter around working on world quests, reputation, gear, or go poke bosses in m+ dungeons with friendly people.

Your Characters, names, Classes, Level, and so on.
My main is Duskwalker, 120, resto druid. I love healing and consider myself a pretty good healer with high encounter awareness. I also do a decent doomchicken if DPS is called for.

I have a ton of alts, loving to test various classes and specs - though I seem to always come back to healing or tanking. Since all my alts are situated on Silvermoon, I will not be able to afford moving them all over right away. I hope this is ok with you - I will be working towards moving all the ones I actively play, but probably starting with two characters, Dusky and one of the more active alts, unless this is an issue for you.

My two active alts are:

Ildsjel, 120, destruction warlock. For the DPS, the summons, the healthstones and the gateways. And the fun! Burn, burn it all!

Jhereg, 120, protection warrior. My tankypants! I have for the most part played healer or tank in my WoW history, main tanking raids on my druid back in Wrath of the Lich King and parts of Cataclysm (I think, I keep messing up what happened when.) My current guild lack tanks, and I wasn't quite happy with bear tanking so I made this one to help out while also seeing how a different tank class feels these days.

Any previous WoW and/or SW Guild History and why you left.
So, this is quite a long story, I can't seem to keep it shorter than this - apologies for the wall of text!

I have been in Dark Serenity (http://darkserenity.smutthull.net/) on Silvermoon since before it was Dark Serenity. It started as an all girls guild (Holy sisters of alliance - HSoA) half a year or so into vanilla. We disbanded HSoA in 2006 and created Dark Serenity (DS) once we realized we needed more people and wanted to bring our male friends into the guild. DS was from the start a guild very similar to what I understand you guys are: family friendly, taking our raids seriously but otherwise focused on being social, fun and a home for everyone. We also had yearly BBQs for real life meetups.

Quite a lot of us went on a WoW break around the end of Warlords of Dranor, and the guild was declared dead in 2016. The son of one of our long time members decided to revive it after a while, and built it up again so that when BfA came around and I decided to give the game another twirl the guild was actually active again and raiding with the help of a few of non-guild players. Unfortunately, the members are now mainly younger, the tempers are higher, the language is foul and the drama - oh, the DRAMA - surrounding pretty much everything is getting to be too much for me. I am currently an officer in DS, a rank given to most of the "guild legends" that came back this expansion. However, as the players recruited after 2016 wants to keep the (in my opinion foul) environment and we old timers don't want to ruin their fun by being all "it was better in the olden days" I think it is time for me to look for another home.

I know Zanthuril in real life, and he has always talked warmly about Phoenix of the Sun. After reading your Codexes, this feels like exactly what I am missing in the game.

State an agreement that you read, agree and understand the Guild Codex.
I have, and it makes me happy!

I have one comment: My husband will probably remain on Silvermoon for now, he is still hoping for DS to shape up. I don't think it will be long before he is ready to move away either, so I hope I can convince him to follow if you are willing to give me a home with you. However I am not sure if I can convince him to leave Dark Serenity entirely, as he was guild leader and raid leader there for years and I think he will want to keep an alt in the guild to have some connection with it still - which means he might not be let into Phoenix of the Sun. I will be playing with him still, even if we can't quest together while being on different servers, doing dungeons and island expeditions together. I truly hope this will not be an issue.

State an agreement that you read, agree and understand the Raid Codex.
I have.

State an agreement that you have and use an Authenticator.
I do.

Who do you know in PotS?
Zanthuril

What do you expect from PotS?
That feeling of being in a family, of humor and chat about everyday things and supporting each other in various conquests ingame and in real life.

Do you have any specific play times? How active are you, playing-wise? If you're never on-line during the week, we can take this into account for your trial.
On overall, I probably play two-three nights a week and quite a bit in the weekends. This will vary with real life though. I have squash at random times during the week (we can't book a court more than 24 hours before play time, and we always try for two nights a week) and after workout and a walk with the dog I will be too tired to log on. Sometimes I have to work late as well, but not often.

I am an A-type person unfortunately, so I never play very late. My usual bedtime is around 22 server time, though I can push it longer once in a while. Looking at your raid times, I probably can go for the Thursday runs, but not all Sunday runs - I sometimes have early meetings on Mondays and from experience going to bed later than 22 the day before will give me headaches.

Anything else you want to share with us?
I think this was pretty much all I can think of right now. I will answer any questions you might have.

Happy new year, and thanks for your time!
- Dusky
